Foundations of Care and Approach
We care about how you feel in your body, how you feel in your mind, and how you feel in your life. Your relationships, work, community, and connection to yourself all play a role in your health. We believe wellness is shaped by the full picture of your lived experience, not just physical symptoms.
Health is not one-dimensional. While physical health matters, true wellness extends beyond symptom management and includes how you eat, sleep, move, think, cope with stress, and find balance in your daily life. There is no single path to health and no one-size-fits-all solution.
Before deciding to work together, it is important to understand the approach we take at Wildcrafting Wisdom. This is not about matching an herb to a symptom or taking a long list of supplements and calling it done. Instead, we look at the whole system and what works for you as an individual.
We take the time to explore what you eat and how it makes you feel, how you sleep, how you move your body, how you manage stress, and how you nourish your mind. The intake process is intentionally thorough because every piece of your life influences your current state of health.
From there, we work together to define what health means to you and what feeling well looks like in your body and your life.
Healing and habit change are rarely linear, and there may be fluctuations along the way. The first month of working together is designed to provide structured, personalized support as we observe your body and integrate sustainable changes. You will receive a personalized protocol with herbal, dietary, and lifestyle recommendations, along with access to the Practice Better portal to track your food, moods, sleep, energy, and reflections. This helps us stay connected, notice patterns, and refine strategies through weekly check-ins via secure messaging. After the first month, journal entries will only be reviewed if follow-up sessions are scheduled.
Sometimes wellness means prioritizing rest and supporting your nervous system, complemented by an herbal formula. Other times it means focusing on nourishment through food, movement, or lifestyle shifts, with herbs as support along the way.
Together, we create a realistic, personalized plan that honors your capacity, supports lasting change, and feels sustainable for you.
Educational Care: Scope of Practice
Scope of Practice
Our work together is rooted in education, self-awareness, and holistic support. Sessions are designed to help you better understand your body, patterns, and health priorities through a traditional and integrative lens.
Herbalists are not regulated healthcare providers and are not prescribing physicians. All consultations, written summaries, and recommendations are educational and informational only. We do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, or replace the care of a licensed medical provider.
We do not follow or promote a single health approach. Instead, we take an individualized, flexible approach that honors your unique biology, lived experience, cultural context, and personal values.
Herbal & Lifestyle Guidance
Any herbal, nutritional, or lifestyle suggestions are offered for educational purposes and are based on traditional use and holistic wellness principles. These suggestions are meant to complement — not substitute — medical care.
You are always encouraged to consult with your physician or qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical concerns, medications, or changes to your treatment plan.
Your Responsibility & Choice
Your health journey is collaborative, and you are the expert on your own body and experience. You are encouraged to take an active role in exploring recommendations and deciding which insights feel aligned and appropriate for you.
All suggestions, whether herbal, lifestyle, or nutritional, are offered for educational purposes only. Implementation is entirely at your discretion. This approach ensures that your journey reflects your personal values, goals, and comfort level rather than a rigid protocol.
Working Alongside Your Healthcare Team
This educational support works best when integrated alongside conventional medical care. I welcome collaboration and encourage open communication with your healthcare providers.
About the Herbalist
Kassie has over a decade of experience in herbal medicine and holistic health. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Wellness and Alternative Medicine from Vermont State University and has completed extensive training in community herbalism, along with ongoing continuing education.
Her connection to plant medicine began in childhood, growing up in northern New Hampshire where she spent countless hours outdoors and felt naturally drawn to the natural world. That early relationship with plants deepened through her own health journey, inspiring her to pursue herbalism more formally and to use her lived experience in service of others.
Kassie practices primarily Western herbalism, while also drawing from folk and Ayurvedic traditions. She weaves these approaches into a personalized, integrative practice rooted in both tradition and thoughtful inquiry. Throughout her training, she has studied with a wide range of experienced practitioners who helped expand her understanding and deepen her relationship with plant medicine. She continues to pursue advanced classes and trainings as she works toward her goal of becoming a member of the American Herbalists Guild.
Today, Kassie blends evidence-informed practice with curiosity, empathy, and deep respect for each client’s unique path. She believes in collaborative, individualized care and strives to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their wellness journey.

Frequently asked questions
-
No. I do not accept insurance, and herbal services are not eligible for insurance reimbursement. As an herbalist, my work exists outside the insurance and medical system, which allows me to practice in a way that is educational, individualized, and rooted in traditional and holistic approaches.

-
Not at this time. We don’t currently sell or ship ready-made herbal products directly. Instead, our work focuses on education, personalized guidance, and helping you understand which herbs may best support your body and lifestyle.
However, we do collaborate with a custom compounding herbal dispensary to create individualized blends that we formulate specifically for you. These custom formulas are prepared to our specifications and mailed directly to clients for convenience and continuity of care.
In the meantime, we are also happy to share trusted online suppliers and local sources where you can find high-quality herbs and preparations with confidence.
-
At this time, all consultations are offered virtually. This allows for flexible scheduling and access from anywhere.
If virtual sessions are not an option for you, please contact us directly. We are happy to discuss alternatives on a case-by-case basis and can accommodate in-person visits when possible.
-
No, not directly.
As herbalists, we do not advise stopping, starting, or changing prescription medications. That decision must always be made in partnership with your prescribing healthcare provider.
That said, we are happy to work with clients who are taking common pharmaceutical medications to help guide safe, supportive herbal and lifestyle recommendations that complement your current care. Our role is to support overall wellness, help you understand potential herb–drug interactions, and offer education around gentle, supportive approaches.
If your long-term goal is to reduce or discontinue prescription medications, we encourage you to have that conversation with your doctor. We can support you alongside that process, but we cannot ethically or legally direct medication changes.

The initial consultation includes a comprehensive intake review, a personalized protocol with herbal, nutrition, and lifestyle guidance, portal access to track your progress, and weekly check-ins for the first month.
